The third step in remodeling your kitchen is deciding, after interviewing three designers, who 1. Asked the best questions and listened to your answers.  2.  Who you believe cares as much about your home as you do. 3.  Who could recognize the problems with the current design and was able to offer solutions?  4. Who you are convinced is capable of designing a space that is aesthetically pleasing and follows the NKBA guidelines for kitchen design. 5. Who has the technical skills to understand your family and lifestyle to know what appliances to recommend and how and where to place them to give you both form and function? 6. An experienced designer. Should be able to develop a lighting plan for General lighting, task lighting, ambient lighting, in cabinet and under cabinet lighting.7. Who has a feel for your budget and can guide your selections for cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, lighting with your input.
