Who you are convinced is capable of designing a space that is aesthetically pleasing and follows the NKBA guidelines for kitchen design. 5. Who has the technical skills to understand your family and lifestyle to know what appliances to recommend and how and where to place them to give you both form and function? 6. An experienced designer. Should be able to develop a lighting plan for General lighting, task lighting, ambient lighting, in cabinet and under cabinet lighting.7. Who has a feel for your budget and can guide your selections for cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, lighting with your input.
